Red Deer Battle
Two red deer lock antlers for an early-season tustle ahead of the autumn rut. What most appeals to me about this photo are the focal-point of the deer in the light and shade of the trees, and the atmosphere of the hazy early-autumn morning.
It's rare to get the opportunity for a panorama photo in wildlife photography, but I like to try to be aware of the opportunity when it arises, as they make for a more immersive, environmental image. This is a three-shot panorama image, creating a detailed, high-resolution image which can be printed very large.
